Inspired by the work of Maria Montessori, The Montessori Workshop (formerly Montessori Aids International) was established in the early nineties as a small family-run business. Over the last decade the company has grown to become one of the leading manufacturers of Montessori material in the world with an established reputation for quality and excellence.

While retaining our traditional values, we now combine skilled craftsmanship with the latest technology to provide children with the highest quality material that is safe, long lasting and durable. A significant portion of our work is labour intensive and provides much needed employment to members of the local community. This dedicated and skilled team of artisans pay meticulous attention to detail and hand craft a number of product individually to stringent and precise specifications.

All of our products are carefully manufactured using the finest raw materials and the best quality non-toxic paints and finishes which conform to the highest safety standards. We cooperate with Montessori teachers and trainers to continually refine and improve our materials. A single-minded dedication to excellence has helped us maintain our commitment to provide high quality merchandise and excellent customer service. We are committed to the use of renewable timber supplies and child labour is not involved in any stage of our production processes.

The Montessori Workshop relocated earlier this year to a larger, enhanced facility to meet increased demand and to serve customers even better.
